Ow and Aw

Your humble webmistress had all four impacted wisdom teeth removed and is currently attempting to recover – a process that is quite painful and taking longer than expected.

I am always grateful for my man and my cats, but especially during wisdom tooth recovery. The man has been feeding me, looking out for me, making sure I take my medication, and generally cheering me up and being sweet. The cats are absolutely glued to me – even Charley, who is usually attached to my husband. Charley and Thurston can definitely tell I’m not feeling well and are doing their best to cuddle as much as possible – with me and of course, with each other.

Pete Doherty DOES NOT LOVE HIS CAT

According to this article in The Sun, Pete Doherty — the infamous British rocker and on-off-boyfriend of Kate Moss — is none too kind to his kitten.

“JUNKIE Pete Doherty is snapped appearing to give his kitten crack — from a mini-pipe he made specially for it.

Sickened pals who leaked the picture claimed the warped rocker regularly gets the pet smashed.”

I hope this is not true, and that if it IS, this man gets help. Giving a cat drugs is NOT FUNNY.

Back from vacation, and the cats couldn’t be happier. Thurston has been absolutely glued to me since my return.

The menandcats.com HQ is preparing to go on a much-needed, long-anticipated vacation. The cats, of course, will be staying home. I always have such a hard time leaving them, even though I know they will be in good hands with my 2 friends who are on cat-sitting duties.

The husband was making fun of me this morning for all the time I spend cuddling with Thurston just before leaving for work. “First, you have the waking-up cuddle in bed. Then, when you get out of the shower, he’s waiting for you on the bed and you have more petting and cuddling. Then, he sits on your lap while you’re having coffee! You spend half an hour each morning cuddling with that cat!”

And that’s on a normal day. Pre-vacation cat-cuddling and toy-buying due to guilt and anxiety on my part goes through the roof.
