I’m sure by now, many of menandcats.com’s loyal readers are aware of the pet food recall going on. The recall covers mainly store brands of pet food, and wet food only. According to the NY Times, a cat may be responsible for the power outage that caused Mayor Bloomberg to cancel his scheduled appearance at the Queens Chamber of Commerce’s annual St. Patrick’s Day Luncheon. Allegedly, a cat chewed through some electrical wires at the place where the luncheon was to be held, causing the outage.
Huh, I didn’t know infamous chewer-of-wires, Charley (one of the Menadcats.com official cats) could travel to Queens all the way from Brooklyn on his own.
According to the ASPCA, February is I love NYC pets month! As if Menandcats needed another excuse to tell you to adopt a cat (or two), the ASPCA will be holding a weekend of citywide adoption events during February 10-11. They will be having additional adoption events throughout the month.
