I could have told you this without conducting a nationwide survey.

Well, lo and behold, the myth of the “crazy (single) cat lady” is untrue. CATalyst Council released a study of the best cities for kitties (Tampa, Phoenix, San Francisco, Portland [Oregon], Denver, Boston, Seattle, San Diego, Atlanta, and Minneapolis, in case you’re wondering). The study took into account cat ownership rates in cities, among other feline-friendly factors. So, are the cities with the highest rates of cat ownership populated by more single women? Nope! It turns out they are full of cat-owners AND single men, leading to the logical conclusion that yes, men really do love cats as much as, if not more than, women.

Caboodle Ranch

A couple of alert menandcats.com readers have tipped me off to the Caboodle Ranch in Florida. Craig Grant takes care of over 500 cats who had been previously abused or neglected. The cats taken in by Craig are fixed, vaccinated, and of course, fed and given plenty of affection! The cats get to roam around in the sanctuary on 100+ acres, complete with trails and cat perches everywhere. Now that’s a dedicated cat man!!
