As many of you know by now, menandcats.com was mentioned in a NY Times article about men who love cats (“Sorry, Fido, It’s Just a Guy Thing”) about more men who are embracing their love for cats. This is completely un-scientific, but this poll on petplace.com asks the question “Do you think men that own cats are more compassionate and likely to understand women?” 87% answered yes. Although something tells me that those answering the poll are 99% women who have cats.
Music videos. Remember those? Recently I happened to catch an episode of NY Noise, and I saw this great video of the song “House Clouds” from the Liars. The video features a shirtless man (the lead singer) cuddling and nuzzling a little kitten. Later in the video, the other band members cuddle with a dog and an orange tabby cat! Altogether now: Awwwwwwwww.
I’m not sure if I buy that this a “true story” as is being claimed (really, they bought a lion cub at a department store, and it was exercised at a church and named Christian? That’s just too much) but this is pretty cute and funny, especially with the accompanying musical score:
