Great handmade pins for men who love cats – and anyone who loves animals

Menandcats.com usually stays on-topic, discussing only men and cats. And while this post is about a great pin that states “Real Men Love Cats” (pictured above) I must go slightly off-topic for a moment to discuss my love of all things handmade, and my love of Etsy, the website where one can buy and sell all things handmade and crafty. The “Real Men Love cats” pin can be purchased through thedogcoatlady’s Etsy store. Her whole store is great, and a portion of the money you spend there will go to the Jacksonville Humane Society. And while you’re at it, why not visit your humble webmistress’s Etsy store as well for more crafty goodness.

More pet food recalled

More bad news on the pet food recall – it has now been expanded to certain types of dry food and cat treats (including some types of the Menandcats.com cats’ favorite brand, Pounce). Pet foods affected include products made by Del Monte Foods (Jerky Treats, Gravy Train Beef Sticks and Pounce Meaty Morsels) and those made by Hill’s Pet Nutrition Inc. (Prescription Diet m/d Feline dry food).

Benefit/Here Kitty Kitty

Tonight there is a benefit show on the Lower East Side in NYC for two pet adoption organizations, Waggytail Rescue and Here Kitty Kitty. I hadn’t heard of either of these organizations before, but a subsequent visit to the Here Kitty Kitty website has revealed that HKK is located in New Jersey, hence why I was not familiar with them as I don’t live in Jersey.

As the proud cat-mom of two cats, I agree. Also, two cats are double the cuteness of one!!

Cat News – Cat Gives Birth to…. Puppies?!

This one is all over the news and the ‘net: A cat in Brazil allegedly mated with a dog and gave birth to a litter of part kittens, part puppies. I think there’s got to be a hoax here, especially since these days you can’t believe your eyes when it comes to photos. Nevertheless, menandcats.com presents you with a picture of the supposed offspring of this canine-feline union.
