Anna sent in this picture of her boyfriend, Jeff, with their new cat Mambo. Anna says, “We recently adopted Mambo from a shelter, and Jeff already loves this cat more than anything. This is their default spooning position.” They both look quite content! I’m sure Mambo is glad to have a loving home.

Love is all around
I’m glad I have the lovingest cats ever. They adore each other, and they love their humans. And I’m glad I have a husband who loves me and loves cats!
Happy Valentine’s Day to you and your favorite humans and furry friends. And if you’re single and pet-less, now is the purrfect time to find yourself a loving, loyal companion from your local animal shelter!
David and Tippy
This is David and Tippy. Tippy’s female human, Rachel, says she loves Tippy because she is always at the door to greet her when she comes home. She also says that “Whenever I sit down to read or watch a movie, she always hops on my lap. She sleeps on my back… when I toss and turn in the night, she moves and stays with me.” This sounds just like another tabby whose name starts with T, my BFF (best feline friend) Thurston! Tippy looks like she likes to get rightupclose to the humans, also just like Thurst!
I think something about the lighting in this photo, the beard, and the wood paneling give this photo a 1970’s feel, don’t you?
Judd, Jack and Schmoo
Judd’s wife, Cynthia, sent along these photos of Judd with their cat Jack and their oldest cat, Schmoo.
Cynthia already had Schmoo living with her before meeting Judd, but Judd thought Schmoo needed a friend — so they adopted Bean, a Maine Coon mix, to keep him company. Then Cynthia began volunteering at the ASPCA, fostering pregnant cats and mom cats with litters of kittens. From one of these litters came Panda and Cosmo (Judd insisted on keeping two kittens rather than one). Jack came from another foster litter. Judd and Cynthia also have several foster cats, including Bessie, Ollie and Chris.
All in all, Cynthia and Judd share their lives – and their home – with eight cats!

Man vs. Cat
Charley’s former favorite perch
Normally, in the menandcats.com household, there is human-feline harmony. The cats get along with each other. The humans get along with each other. The cats get along with the humans, and each cat has one self-appointed favorite human. But occasionally there are rifts. Continue reading “Man vs. Cat” »
